Because ....


Ahhhhhh!!!! Still pinching myself that this is real life. Seriously. I do not plan on getting super personal here very often, but this blog does serve as a journal of sorts for me, so this life event just HAD to be documented. 

My boyfriend (now fiancé! ahh!) and I went on a mini vacation to celebrate Christmas and New Years together. While we were on our mini vacay, he gave me the BEST Christmas present of my life! (Besides the birth of Jesus. Duh.) He told me, after all the gifts were open, that he had one last surprise for me. As I opened the gift, I saw a Bible opened to 1 Corinthians 13. It was highlighted in pink, and tied to the pink ribbon marking the page was the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. 

The whole thing was so sweet and the attention to detail and him putting up with me asking if this was real 700 times and then immediately asking if he had asked my dad (this man is a saint y'all. I swear.) .... it was magical and wonderful and the absolute best moment of my life. 


Needless to say, things will be changing in this girls life and I cannot wait. I will keep you updated here and there with exciting wedding related tidbits, but do not count on this becoming a wedding blog. Not my thing, girls. Not my thing. 

I am so excited to become a Mrs. and spend the rest of this wonderful journey of life with my best friend!!!
