Hey, hey, hey!

I love words. I don't care what form they are coming in, I just love them. Nothing inspires me more. Quotes, lyrics, verses, books, all of it. Everything to do with words just fills me up and leaves me wanting more, exploring more and digging deeper. Always.

Books, especially, have been my favorite thing since I was little. My dad has always called me his "voracious reader" (long before I even knew what the word "voracious" meant). My Grandmama was a reader and used to always ask me what books I was reading. We even read a few together. My mom would always encourage my reading, even making me a reading nook in my closet. It was my own little magical place where characters came alive, became my friends and changed the way I saw the world. Books have always been my first love and I feel like it is time that I found my way back to them.

Life gets busy and hectic and I feel like I have been living in a tunnel of sorts for the last 9 months. I have barely had time to go to a book store, let alone read an actual book. Alas, it is summer now, which means I have copious amounts of free time on my hands. What I am choosing to do with this time, is read. Get back to words and back to the mystical worlds of characters and thoughts that will open my eyes and change my perspective and maybe, if I am lucky, teach me something about life and change me for the better.

This summer will be the summer of books.

I am already more than halfway done with the buzzed about novel, The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney and I cannot wait to finish it and share my thoughts with you!

If you are a book nerd (as I like to lovingly call myself) like me, I also want to share with you my book list for the summer!

Wild and Free by Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan

Wildflower by Drew Berrymore

Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld

Wreck And Order by Hannah Tennant-Moore

The After Party by Anton DiSclafani

Rich and Pretty by Rumaan Alam

The Girls by Emma Cline

The Hopefuls by Jennifer Close

**SIDENOTE: If any of you have read Girls In White Dresses by Jennifer Close ... are you squealing with joy over the soon to be arrival of her third book?! I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT!**
***Double Sidenote: If you haven't read Girls in White Dresses yet, RUN to your closest book store and get ready to fall in love. SO GOOD.**

Here are my thoughts. If I share with you that I want to read all of these books this summer, I am more likely to actually accomplish that goal! So here I am, saying to all of you, I will read every single book on this list by the time the summer has ended. Who wants to join me?! All of you? I thought so ;)

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Friday, loves!
