Love
Love Never Fails.
Hey, hey, hey!
As we know, from time to time, I like to use this little space I have on the internet to document my life. So today is going to be one of those posts. If that is not your thing, check back on Wednesday for a little something that is probably more your style! For those of you who don't mind me sharing a little piece of my reality here ... lets jump in!
Valentine's Day was one of the best days for me. Not because of gifts or dinners or anything materialistic like that (even though all of that happened with my love and I LOVED every minute of it!) but because this Valentine's Day marked the last time I have to watch the boy pack up his car, kiss him goodbye and wait another two weeks to see his face. How exciting is that?!?!!!
However, with the end of the long distance relationships comes the anxieties of all of the unknowns. For those of you that don't know me very well, I am a super anxious person by nature. I get super nervous, worried and anxiety ridden when anything could go wrong. Needless to say, having my fiancé move to me to start the next chapter of our lives brings a lot of anxiety to my world! This is not to say that I am not excited .. I am! So so stupid excited! I am just nervous by nature and I think worse case scenario about most things in my life.
BUT! I have been using one Bible verse to combat all of these crazy anxiety's over the last couple of weeks.
This Bible verse is the one that he used for our proposal and it is one that I have clung to through the beginning wedding stages and now, the moving stage. Love never fails. It just doesn't. When you are building a life on a foundation of love for both Jesus and each other, you cannot fail. It may be hard, it may be scary, but it does not fail. So through all of the big changes that we are heading towards, I am going to continue to hold on to how much we love each other and how much our Father loves us. Through all of the changes we may struggle, but with His love and him standing by my side, I know we will soar. And I, for one, am so excited to see this forever together life we are forming soar.
I encourage all of you who may be struggling with fear or anxiety in any stage or facet of your life to try clinging to this same verse. Hold on to the love your Father has for you but also to the love those around you have for you, and the love you have for them. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, lets all give a little more love whenever we can and see where it takes us, ok?
