Hey, hey, hey!

This winter has been mild for us here in the Midwest so far, but boy oh boy has it begun to drop into freezing temps. Snowfall is bound to grace our presence soon (wooot!!!) and as a teacher, you know what snow means .... SNOW DAY!!!! We have even had crazy enough weather here that we get "cold" days some times. Which are honestly the best. You can go anywhere and do anything, you just don't have to go to school!

In honor of these dropping temps and in hopes that there are snow days to come, I am putting together a list of ways to spend your snow day!

1. Get Creative! Paint with watercolors, use that adult coloring book you got for Christmas, take pictures ... let those creative juices flow.

2. Clean out that makeup collection! If you are anything like me, you have a designated makeup area that is overflowing with products. A snow day is the perfect day to check out those expiration dates and get rid of products you aren't using or don't want.

3. Read. I know this one sounds simple, but I think a lot of us take our time off and run with it to get our to do list done. Instead of jumping on that never ending list, grab a book, a good cup of coffee and take an hour of your day to just sit and relax and get lost in a different world.

4. Netflix Binge. Just do it. Pop a squat on that couch, grab a cozy blanket and go ahead and get your Gilmore Girls on. It is good for the soul, y'all. Even Jen Hatmaker says so

5. Make something yummy! There is nothing better than a warm chocolate chip cookie on a cold day. But if you are feeling fancy, check out one of these delicious recipes that just may hit your hot button, as well!
